2.Legal framework

We process personal data in line with Tunisian Organic Law No. 2004-63 on the protection of personal data and, where it applies to your situation, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

3.Data we process and why

  • Server log data. When you visit the website, the hosting infrastructure automatically records technical data such as your IP address, the date and time of access, the page requested, the referring page, and browser and device information. We process it to deliver the website securely and reliably (legitimate interest).
  • Enquiries, sample and quotation requests. If you use the contact form, we process the details you provide — name, company, business email, country, product interest and your message — to answer your request and to prepare samples, quotations or offers (steps prior to entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in business communication).
  • Email and phone. If you email or call us, we process the contact details and the content you share in order to respond.
  • Newsletter. If you subscribe, we process your email address to send you market insights and product news. You can unsubscribe at any time, and we only send the newsletter with your consent.
  • Language preference. Your choice of language (English or French) is stored in your browser’s local storage so the site opens in your language next time. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us.

4.Cookies and tracking

This website does not set cookies and, at the time of writing, does not use advertising, analytics or third-party tracking tools. Fonts and images are served from our own domain, so your browser does not connect to third-party font or image providers when you visit.

If we introduce analytics or other tools in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

6.Who receives your data

Your data is accessed only by MediPlanta personnel who need it to handle your request. We may use service providers (for example for website hosting and email) who process data on our behalf and are obliged to protect it. We do not sell personal data. We disclose data to authorities or other third parties only where the law requires it.

7.International transfers

MediPlanta is based in Tunisia, so data you send us is processed in Tunisia. If you contact us from another country, including the European Union or Switzerland, you initiate this transfer by contacting us. We apply appropriate measures to protect your data wherever it is processed.

8.How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above: enquiry data until your request has been dealt with and any resulting business relationship and legal retention periods have ended; newsletter data until you unsubscribe; server logs for a short period set by our hosting provider.

9.Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • request erasure of your data;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • object to processing;
  • receive your data in a structured format (portability);
  • withdraw a consent you have given at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

To exercise your rights, contact us using the details in the “Contact” section below. We may need to verify your identity first.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority — in Tunisia, the National Authority for Personal Data Protection (INPDP), or the authority in your country of residence.

10.Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website or legal requirements change. The date of the latest version is shown at the top of this page.
